Trump
Former US President Donald Trump has warned Iran in strong terms of possible military strikes and economic sanctions if Tehran does not agree to a nuclear deal with Washington. During a telephonic interview with media agency on Sunday, Trump said, "Unless they make a deal, there will be bombing".
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has firmly ruled out direct negotiations with the United States over its nuclear program. Nevertheless, Pezeshkian kept the window open for indirect negotiations, claiming that "the door to indirect talks is still open."
Trump's warning to impose secondary tariffs on Iran is a reprise of his earlier strategy. He had applied the same tariffs four years back, and one can only guess if this plan will work to his advantage.
