Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was received with booing noises and criticisms during his recent visit to a mosque in Toronto for his comment on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Trudeau encountered an angry mob in the mosque who had gathered at the venue for their Friday prayers.
The Prime Minister’s Office had made no announcements about Trudeau’s mosque visit to the media on Friday, as per media reports. Reports also suggest that the Canadian PMO later confirmed that Trudeau’s visit to the International Muslims Organization of Toronto was to show support for the ones affected in the Muslim community because of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
A video of the angry crowd calling out on Justin Trudeau has been doing rounds on the social media platform ‘X’. The dejected mob can be heard saying ‘Shame on You’ to the Canadian PM. Some can even be heard asking “How many more Palestinian children need to be slaughtered, how many more, before you call for a ceasefire?”
The video also shows Trudeau, showered with ‘booing’ sounds from the crowd as he leaves the mosque.

Earlier, PM Justin Trudeau had spoken about the rising antisemitism in a conference, following the attack on Israel by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and Israel's accompanying lethal airstrikes in Gaza.
At the conference, Trudeau also highlighted the list of possible hate crimes against Jews in Canada. To support his stance, Trudeau mentioned about the attack at a Jewish high school in Toronto last week which is seen as a possible hate crime against the Jews in Canada.
After the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 which killed more than 1400 Israelis, PM Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel declared war against Hamas. Israel also sealed off the entirety of the Gaza Strip and called for an evacuation of the residents of North Gaza towards South Gaza.
Tensions have escalated in the Middle East after Israel blocked humanitarian access to the Gaz aStrio and also cut off water, food, and electricity supply in the region. The United Nations condemned Israel’s blockade of Gaza and said that this violates international humanitarian law.
However, the UN Security Council is yet to pass a resolution on the ongoing Israel-Hamas issue. Two draft resolution by Russia and Brazil were vetoed against and has failed to pass.
