In yet another development in the murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar, the chief of Bangladeshi Detective Department, Harun-ur-Rashid has said that they have collected the circumstantial evidence and will now proceed to further investigation into the sewage line which is connected to the duplex flat where the murder happened. Anar who was on a visit to India for medical treatment went missing and was found murdered in Kolkata on May 22. Till now, three arrests have been made in connection with the case. While speaking to the media, he described the killing of Anar as a Cold-blooded, barbaric murder. He also said that he had never come across such a heinous planned murder. It should be noted that the investigation chief from Bangladesh will collaborate with Interpol and the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to intensify the efforts to apprehend the prime suspect behind the murder. Police suspect that the prime accused is Aktaruzzaman who has probably escaped to the United States via Dubai from Kathmandu.Reportedly, the Bangladeshi MP who visited India for medical reasons was allegedly killed in a Kolkata flat, where he was deskinned and shopped into pieces. The suspect proceeded by packing all the body parts into different bags and disposing of the remains.Notably, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the horrific murder of a Bangladeshi MP.
