Assam: An important update has come out regarding the result for lakhs of students of Assam Board. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the Assam Board Class 10 (matriculation) results will not be released today. Appealing to the students to have a little more patience, the Chief Minister said that as soon as the results are ready, the board will release them immediately.

Chief Minister's Tweet & Information

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted this on his official X handle (formerly Twitter). "I would like to inform all parents and students that the HSLC (Class 10) results will not be released on April 10. After the results are ready, the board will declare them immediately. This message was a direct relief for all the students and their families who had been waiting for the result for a long time.

When will the result be received?

After the release of the results, students will be able to check their results on the official websites of the Assam State Education Board (SEBA). To see the result, students will have to use their roll number and their result will be displayed on the screen.

The websites are:

  • results.sebaonline.org
  • sebaonline.org
  • resultassam.nic.in

What is the passing criteria?

If we talk about how many marks students need to pass the exam, then to pass the SEBA HSLC 2025 exam, students need to score at least 30% marks in every subject. Moreover, overall students will have to score an aggregate score of at least 30% to pass the exam.

Last year's result and toppers

Last year in 2024, the matric result of Assam was announced on April 20 and at that time the pass percentage was 75.7%. Meanwhile, Anurag Doloi topped Assam in the class 10 board exam. Last year, 4.19 lakh students had appeared for the exam and a large number of students had scored good marks.

Why is the result delayed?

The reason behind the delay of the result could be that the Assam Education Board is completing the process of preparing the result in a correct and fair manner. It is the endeavor of the board that any student gets the right result with his hard work. Students may be disappointed with the delay of the result, but this move of the board will help fulfill their expectations in the right way.
