Ranbir Kapoor is recognized for his humorous and sarcastic sense of humour, which he simply refuses to abandon, much as it has gotten him into a number of foot-in-mouth situations and panic-stricken abuse from fans. But this one, appears to be slightly on the light side, and kudos to RK for having taken what would otherwise have been quite an intense experience, in his stride, as part of the package that comes with being one of the largest stars of the nation.

But this one, is a bit on the lighter side, I suppose, and kudos to RK for taking what might otherwise have been a pretty serious experience, in his stride, as part and parcel of being one of the nation's biggest stars.

So did you know, that Alia Bhatt is NOT Ranbir Kapoor's 'first wife'?

During a conversation with Mashable India, the conversation turned humorous for the actor when he began describing a wacky fan encounter from a few years ago which he recalls to this day, just because of how strange it was. He said, "I wouldn't call craziest, as it is said in a derogatory sense, but I remember, in my childhood, there was a girl  I never saw her but my watchman informed me that she arrived with a pandit and wedded my gate.".

Wife is not any other person, but Alia herself

Now this obviously didn't make the fan girl his 'wife', but Ranbir being Ranbir, has to throw in some good-natured jest to the way he tells his tales. He went on, "At the bungalow where I stayed with my parents, there was tika on the gate and a few flowers. I was away in town at the time, I think, so that was pretty mad. I haven't yet met my first wife, so I look forward to meeting you sometime". So it's safe to say that Ranbir's first and only! wife is not any other person, but Alia herself. The two had got married in a quiet ceremony, among friends and relatives at their revered Mumbai home, in April 2022. They will be reaching 3 years of married happiness soon, in the upcoming weeks.
