Superstar Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan tied the knot with long-time partner Nupur Shikhare in Mumbai on Wednesday. The private ceremony saw family and close friends in attendance.

Ira, 26, founder of a mental health support group, married celebrity fitness trainer Nupur at a five-star hotel in suburban Bandra. The wedding was attended by father Aamir and his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.

Groom Nupur, in his 30s, was seen energetically jogging to the venue in athletic wear and later dancing to dhol beats with friends outside.

Viral videos showed the couple happily signing the marriage documents surrounded by loved ones, as guests cheered. Ira wore traditional bridal attire.

After over three years of dating, Ira and Nupur got engaged last November.

The intimate Mumbai nuptials will be followed by another ceremony on January 8 in Udaipur. A grand reception in Mumbai is planned for January 13 to celebrate with family, friends and industry colleagues.
