The renowned actor Amala Paul received a heartwarming surprise on her 32nd birthday from her boyfriend, Jagat Desai, who proposed marriage to her, and she joyfully accepted.

Celebrating Amala's birthday

The heartful moment was shared by the couple on the social media platform Instagram. In the video clip, they were spotted enjoying Amala's birthday at a restaurant. Amala donned a stylish pink off-shoulder jumpsuit paired with sneakers, while Jagat was wearing a white T-shirt with a mustard jacket, along with jeans and sneakers.

Jagat's memorable proposal

The birthday celebration took a surprising turn when a group of dancers invited Jagat to join them on the dance floor. Later, Amala was led to the center of the dance floor, where Jagat knelt and asked her to marry him. To everyone's delight, the surprised Amala burst into laughter and said yes to the proposal. The clip ended with the couple dancing and toasting the champagne.

The next chapter

While the couple is yet to reveal more details about their upcoming wedding, it's worth noting that Amala was previously married to director AL Vijay in June 2014 in Chennai. However, the two went their separate ways in 2017 after their divorce.

Amala's journey so far

Amala Paul has made a name for herself in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu film industries. She began her acting career with the Malayalam film Neelathamara in 2009 and has since earned praise for her roles in various movies, including Deiva Thirumagal (2011), Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (2012), Run Baby Run (2012), Oru Indian Pranayakadha (2013), Thalaivaa (2013), Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), and Mili (2015).

She also appeared in Amma Kanakku (2016), Hebbuli (2017), Thiruttu Payale 2 (2017), Ratsasan (2018), Aadai (2019), and The Teacher (2022). Amala was last seen in a special role in the film Bholaa and has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including Aadujeevitham, Dvija, and an untitled film.
