Vijay Deverakonda’s team lodged a complaint against a YouTuber from Anantapur who spread rumours about it on his channel. Since then, the police promptly took strict measures days after the offensive video was posted, ensuring that the video was immediately removed from the YouTuber’s account.
Following this complaint, an FIR was filed against him for sharing unfounded rumours about Vijay Deverakonda and a female actor on his CinePolis channel, according to Hindustan Times. The accused YouTuber has been detained for questioning.
The actor’s team said, “A few days ago, this individual spread vulgar news related to Vijay and another actress. The police promptly responded after their attention was brought to the disrespectful news. They located the person involved and let go of his post counselling and deletion of videos.”
Then, they further added that strict measures are taken to curb such incidents. They added, “Preventive measures are being taken to avoid such incidents in the future. Vijay is used to rumour-mongering but sometimes, people cross a line. He wants to set an example, especially when a third party’s name is also dragged in unfairly because it’s not okay.”
Talking about Vijay’s work front, he was last seen in 'Kushi' alongside Samantha. The film received a good response from both critics and audiences.
Meanwhile, he is currently filming for 'Family Star' with director Parasuram Petla, featuring Mrunal Thakur in the lead role and is slated to hit theatres sometime in 2024.
