Makers of ‘Sam Bahadur’, the much-anticipated Vicky Kaushal movie, will release the film’s teaser tomorrow. Prior to that, a new poster of the movie was shared on social media on Thursday. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the Sam Manekshaw biopic will be released on December 1 in theaters.
As per reports, the teaser will last approximately 1 minute and 26 seconds. The movie is Meghna Gulzar and Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration following “Raazi,” which also starred Alia Bhatt in the lead position.
Vicky Kaushal plays ex-army chief Sam Manekshaw in the film produced by RVSP Movies, which had previously produced Vicky’s ‘URI’ film.
The movie’s title character, Sam Manekshaw, played by Vicky, is depicted in the poster as standing in an open field with his back to the camera, lost in thought. This was done ahead of the release of the teaser for the movie on Friday. The photo is fascinating because of the golden hour and the sun peaking over the horizon. Vicky Kaushal is seen wearing a uniform and holding a stick in his hand, while the poster also states, “Zindagi unki, itihaas humara (His life, our history).” Sharing the picture on his Instagram, Vicky wrote in the caption, “To a life well lived.”
The film’s producer signed an agreement with Star Network to air the teaser of his biopic during the India vs. Pakistan game. The World Cup match between India and Pakistan is the biggest event of the year, and nearly 5 crore Indians will watch it, the article stated. The teaser for Sam Bahadur will be broadcast throughout the India vs. Pakistan game on the Star Network platforms, demonstrating the makers’ commitment to an effective marketing effort. The goal is to engage as many people as possible and ask them to learn about and be inspired by Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s inspirational story.
During the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, Sam Manekshaw, an Indian military hero, was the Indian Army’s Chief of Army Staff. He attained the Field Marshal rank, the first Indian Army officer to do so. His military career was active for four decades and five wars, starting with his service in World War II.
Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Richard Bhakti Klein, Saqib Ayub, and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela are also featured in the Meghna Gulzar-directed movie. The movie will make its theatrical premiere on December 1.
