An actor who won Oscar, Gene hackman and his wife were found dead in their house at New Mexico on Wednesday, authorities said. Foul play is under suspect; however the authorities haven't released any details of the circumstances that how the deaths took place and have informed that the investigation is going on.

Statement of officials 

Hackman won Academy Awards for the violent 1971 drug saga 'The French Connection' and the 1992 western 'Unforgiven'. Denise Avila Spokesperson of Santa Fe County Sheriff's office said deputies responded to a request to do a welfare check at his house Wednesday approximately around 1:45 pm (local time) and found Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa and a dead dog. Hackman was 95 years old and was one of the most respected in the industry and honored performers. 

Legendary career of Gene Hackman

Hackman used to play an intense character who won Academy Awards for the violent 1971 drug saga 'The French connection and the 1992 western Unforgiven. He was known as one of the rare Hollywood actors who got critical appraisal for in independent films and appear in blockbusters for more than a generation, he was also well known for playing Lex Luthor in the real superhero films starring Christopher Reeve.

Gene appeared in more than 80 films as well as television, stage. His lengthy career began in the early 1960s. Apart from 2 Oscars that Hackman won, He also achieved two BAFTA Awards and four Gloden Globes. He took retirement from acting in 2004 with Welcome to Mosse port, which was his final screen appearance.
 

Early life of Gene Hackman

Gene hackman got married twice and had three children. His first marriage was with Faye Maltese which lasted 30 years from 1956 to 1986. hackman then got married to Arakawa in 1991. Before the Hollywood career he had served in the United States Marine Corps for four years from 1947 to 1951
