ZEE5 has bankrolled Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s noir drama that will feature him as a transgender to get even with the antagonist played by Anurag Kashyap. As the much-awaited trailer was shared by Nawaz.

While one section of the audience can’t stop raving about the portrayal of transgender and the challenges Nawaz might have been through while dawning on the character. The other section of viewers out of the trauma of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmi’ is adamant about the idea of the plot which might also show their worry about the possible wrongful representation that might scar the community or make fun of them.

The plot of Haddi

Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Haddi, a new transsexual who travels from Allahabad to Delhi to join a gang of transgenders. The trailer takes viewers on a vengeful journey through Haddi’s life, to get revenge on a strong gangster turned politician, played by Anurag Kashyap, who mistreated his family, he rises to the top of the criminal food chain.

Haddi is a violent vengeance story that reveals the world of criminal underworld operatives throughout the capital city. Haddi is co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla. Directed by the gifted newcomer Akshat Ajay Sharma, it stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles, along with Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla in supporting roles. Haddi, a criminal retribution drama will start streaming on ZEE5, September 7, 2023.
