Kiara Advani recently opened up about her marriage to actor Sidharth Malhotra, saying that her husband was hesitant about posting visuals from their wedding ceremony on social media.

Speaking with film critic Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, the Satyaprem Ki Katha star said, “He didn’t want us to post some of the wedding stuff that we posted. That video that we posted, there was a lot of debate about it. Sid is a very private person. He is a bit too private.”

He said that Sidharth is reluctant to post anything he deems ‘private’ on social media, opting to keep his personal life out of the media spotlight.

In keeping with his private nature, the pair never discussed their relationship in public, before publicly tying the knot on February 7 this year at Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace.

The actor posted snaps from her wedding on her Twitter handle, captioning it with “Pyaar ka rang chada hai” (Love is in the air).

The couple also posted a video from their wedding ceremony at the Suryagarh Palace, in which Kiara entered the wedding venue and walked towards a smiling Sidharth, with a reprised version of Ranjha from the Shershaah movie playing in the background.

‘Sidharth has made me more chill’: Kiara Advani

In the Film Companion event, Kiara heaped praises on Sidharth, saying that he has instilled a ‘chill’ and ‘go-getter’ attitude in her which has resulted in the recent success in her professional life.

“He [Sidharth] has helped make me more chill, which I anyway was, but it’s kind of nice to have a partner who is also in this field, because there are interesting conversations at home. We do discuss work in a very passionate way,” Kiara said, before adding that he tells her, “Don’t hold back. Just go and do what you want to do.”
