New Delhi: Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are getting married on July 12, Friday at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The celebrations will last three days starting with the wedding on July 12, followed by a blessing ceremony on July 13 and a wedding reception on July 14. They have known each other since childhood and their journey from engagement to pre-wedding rituals has been a memorable moment in their life. Anant and Radhika haldi Anant and Radhikas haldi ceremony was held at their home, Antilia. It was a lively affair where guests enjoyed being smeared with haldi. Celebrities like Salman Khan and singers Udit Narayan and Deepa Narayan joined the function. Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday also attended the function.Graha shanti poojaBefore the wedding, Radhika Merchants parents Shaila and Viren Merchant, hosted a Graha Shanti Pooja to bless their daughter. This traditional Gujarati wedding ritual involves the brides maternal uncle (mama) showering her with blessings, sweets and gifts like jewellry and sarees. Radhika looked adorable in a lovely pink lehenga during the ceremony.Mass Wedding As a kind gesture before their son Anants wedding to Radhika, Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani organized a mass wedding in Navi Mumbai for 50 couples from underprivileged backgrounds. About 800 people attended this joyful event where the couples began their married lives together.After the wedding, the Ambani family took photos with the couple. They gave them gold jewellry like nose rings, wedding rings, mangalsutras and also silver toe rings with anklets. The new brides received streedhan, a cheque of Rs 1.01 lakh each. The couples were also given groceries, household items and appliances to help them start their new lives.Following the ceremony, a big dinner was held for the guests.
