Even the court has voiced worry about this kind of terrorism. There is a lot of debate about the movie ‘The Kerala Story,’ which is based on a similar terrorist plot, he added.
The PM also said that the movie’s narrative is allegedly based on terrorist plots in a single state. Even before it released, ‘The Kerala Story’ is the subject of several disputes. The movie is the subject of intense debate in Kerala, and several political groups have voiced their opposition to its distribution. At the same time, amid the ongoing controversy regarding the film, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given it an ‘A’ certificate, along with this the censor board have also removed many scenes.
According to the information, the changes have been made after the movie producers faced criticism for wrongly projecting things.
The text formerly said that some 32,000 women from Kerala are believed to have vanished. The revised version now claims that three women were converted and despatched on terror operations in India and overseas after being indoctrinated.
The film starring Adah Sharma is all set to release on May 5 created a major controversy when it claimed that 32,000 women have left the state. The film is directed by Sudipto Sen. Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani are also part of the film.
According to the information, the Supreme Court also refused to entertain pleas seeking a stay on the release of the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ in theatres and OTT platforms. A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha informed the parties that the Kerala High Court is now hearing a case quite similar to theirs and instructed them to proceed there.
Reportedly, a petition was also filed before the Kerala Court on Tuesday asking for a ban on the release of the film. The High Court is scheduled to hear the case on May 5.
As per sources, the officials on Wednesday said that the state is on high alert ahead of the pan India release of ‘The Kerala Story.’ It is also said that some of the groups have also called for the protest. Apart from this, intelligence agencies are also keeping an eye on the social media platforms. However, no official information has been given on the same.
Apart from this, Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, charged the “Sangh Parivar” called the movie propaganda.
While some people are calling it propaganda, many are in favour of the release of the movie ‘The Kerala Story.’ Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nitish Rane on Wednesday said that the movie should be made tax-free in Maharashtra. He said that on the very first day, they requested chief minister Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to make the movie tax-free in the state.
Political parties in Kerala have condemned the film and a few of them asked for the ban also. But, the lead actor of the film, Adah Sharma took to social media to post her response to the statements. She said, “Many seniors persons in high posts have commented on #TheKeralaStory after watching the 2-minute trailer. My parents have always asked me to respect my elders so with due respect to all of them I hope they can take 2 hrs out of their busy schedule and watch the movie. I’m sure they will see that we haven’t shown Kerala in any derogatory light. Jai hind”

The Kerala Story, starring Adah Sharma, has drawn several petitions to forbid its release on the grounds that movie is ‘propaganda.’ Actor Vidyut Jammwal spoke out in favour of Adah and the movie amid these difficulties. Vidyut took the social media to show his support to his favourite Adah Sharma, he said, “Wishing my favourite @adah_ki_adah #VipulAmrutlalShah, @aashin_shah and the entire team of #TheKeralaStory love..Excited to watch this on the 5th of May…(sic).”
