The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has removed a sequence from the upcoming romance drama Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya that depicts a sexual act. Additionally, the film also went through some audio alterations.
The report states that CBFC "reduced the scene of the sex act by 25%" and that "nine seconds of the scene were censored." The intimate scene, which was previously 36 seconds long, has been trimmed to 27 seconds, and the word "drink" has been used in place of "daru (alcohol)" in the second half of the movie.
The film's crew was also requested by the CBFC to include the anti-smoking static message in Hindi in larger, more readable fonts. On February 2, the CBFC approved Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with a U/A certificate. The film's duration is 143.15 minutes (2 hours, 23 minutes, and 15 seconds), according to the censor certificate.
At the film's recent promotional event, Shahid discussed the movie. Shahid had said, “I was wondering why I haven't done a love story for a long time. It often happens that you get back-to-back films from a similar space. But I wanted to do something different. The word 'different' is defined by this film because the subject is so unique that I never imagined doing it. So it is a very fresh and different concept for me."
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, features Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra in addition to Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in key roles. The film explores an impossible love story in the uncharted territories of artificial intelligence (AI). Shahid plays a robot scientist who develops feelings and eventually marries Kriti's character, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot. The trailer, which was recently released, suggested that Shahid eventually fell in love with the robot.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which stars Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in addition to Shahid and Kriti, will open in theaters on February 9.
