New Delhi. The 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, which claimed 166 lives, has seen significant developments in recent years. Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a key accused, is set to be extradited to India from the United States. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been working tirelessly to bring Rana to justice. 166 innocent people lost their lives in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in 2008. Now a big news has come out about this attack. Preparations have been completed to bring Tahwur Hussain Rana, one of the main accused in this attack to India. India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) was constantly trying to bring it to India.
Tahwur Hussain Rana is a Canadian citizen of Pakistan origin. He was associated with David Coleman Headley, the co-conspirator of the 26/11 attack. The two together did Reiki in many cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. NIA investigation revealed that Rana and Headley also planned to target the National Defense College (NDC) in Delhi, where the country's big military officers and officers take training.
The NIA filed a case against Rana and Headley in 2009. They were accused of terrorism and conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and illegal activities (prevention) Act (UAPA). The NIA had issued non-bailable warrants against all the 9 accused including Rana and Headley.
The US Supreme Court has dismissed the petition against Rana's extradition. This has brought great success to India. Now a team of the Government of India is preparing to go to America and bring Rana to India. Rana will be brought to India and a case of involvement in the 26/11 attack will be run.
