Gurucharan Singh, famed for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," has finally returned home after weeks of absence. The actor, who went missing on April 22 this year, informed police officials during interrogation that he had embarked on a religious journey of self-discovery, seeking to renounce worldly pleasures.

During his absence, concerns arose among fans and authorities, prompting a police investigation into his disappearance. The police filed a case of kidnapping and questioned Singh’s former co-stars on the TMKOC set to gather information.

Jennifer Mistry, his co-actor from "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," expressed joy upon hearing the news. Mistry said that she was very happy when she got to read about his arrival. She added that she had a feeling that he could have gone somewhere for a spiritual journey because he was very spritually inclined. Another friend, Bhakti Soni who was supposed to pick him up at the Mumbai Airport also learnt about his returning after she received a call from the police station. She said she was very exuberated to know that he was safe and sound.
