Shreyas Talpade home, heart healed: Wife's touching note celebrates actor's recovery

A sigh of relief for the Talpade family as actor Shreyas Talpade, who suffered a sudden heart attack on December 14 and was hospitalised since then, has finally returned home safe and sound. His wife Deepti shared a formal statement on Instagram, providing a health update and expressing gratitude for the widespread support received during this challenging time for him and his family.

For those who are unaware, Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack on December 14, while he was shooting for his upcoming film ‘Welcome To The Jungle.’ He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent angioplasty. Sharing the latest health update on Instagram, his wife, Deepti said that he has now recovered and has been discharged.

Writing a long note, she wrote in the caption, “Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support and warm wishes. Your messages have been my pillar of strength. I may not have replied individually, but each one is deeply appreciated. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart ."

Deepti, along with the pictures, wrote, "My life. Shreyas is back home safe and sound. I would argue with Shreyas saying I don't know where to put my faith in. Today I know the answer to my question, God Almighty. He was with me that evening when this drastic event happened in our lives. I don't think I'II ever question his existence henceforth."

Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade reportedly suffered a heart attack on the evening of December 14 after wrapping up a shoot in Mumbai. He collapsed following the cardiac event and was rushed to the city's Bellevue Hospital.

Authorities at the hospital confirmed that the 46-year-old underwent an emergency angioplasty procedure around 10 pm to open up a blocked artery. Thankfully, it was successful and Shreyas is currently in a stable condition and recuperating well.

"He was admitted late evening and the angioplasty happened around 10 pm. Shreyas is now doing fine and should be discharged in a few days," said a hospital spokesperson.

Talking about the work front, Shreyas recently finished shooting for an upcoming jungle-based thriller titled 'Welcome To The Jungle'. He also has a key role as former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut's directorial venture 'Emergency'.

His health scare comes just as the versatile actor was lining up some big projects. But with the procedure going smoothly, his fans will be hopeful of seeing him back in action soon. Now, he has returned home and has recovered.
