Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Dunki' to be screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan

The film has reportedly collected ₹74.82 at the domestic box office.

After two blockbuster action movies in a calendar year, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's third film 'Dunki' was released on December 21. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial film features Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover, Vikram Kocchar, and Boman Irani in crucial roles. The movie also features Vicky Kaushal as a guest appearance.

As per the statement shared by the film's team, a special screening of the movie will be held in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday.

What is the story of Dunki?

Dunki is a story about four friends, Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli, who dream of a better life in the United Kingdom's capital London. This movie addresses the issue of immigration. The drama unfolds as they take an unusual path called the Donkey Flight, facing multiple challenges along the way. Interestingly, the title of the movie is taken from the term 'donkey journey,' which refers to the harsh journey, often dangerous routes that people across the world during travell or immigration.

Dunki crosses 100 Crore mark 

The film opened to mixed reviews and so far, has reportedly collected ₹74.82 at the domestic box office.

The film is currently facing a box office clash with Prabhas' 'Salaar'. 'Salaar' has made Rs 145 crore. Dunki, at the global box office, has collected over Rs 100 crore.

Rajkumar Hirani's journey so far

'Dunki' is Rajkumar Hirani's fifth directorial after Munna Bhai MBBS (2003), Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), PK (2014), and Sanju (2018). All his previous films have been critically and commercially acclaimed with the last three turning out to be huge profiting.
