Actor Trisha Krishnan, who is currently celebrating the success of her latest film Vidaamuyarchi, became the latest celebrity to fall victim to a hacking incident. The actor’s official X (formerly Twitter) account was compromised, with scammers posting misleading content in her name.

Trisha confirms hacking on Instagram

On Tuesday evening, Trisha took to her Instagram Stories to inform her followers about the breach. “My Twitter is hacked, guys. Whatever is posted is not from me until rectified. Thanks,” she wrote, urging fans to disregard any suspicious activity on her X account.

Cryptocurrency scam posts appear on Trisha’s X account

The hacking incident came to light after a series of unauthorized posts appeared on her X account. One of the posts falsely announced the launch of a cryptocurrency named after her. Accompanied by a picture of the actor, the message read, “My new cryptocurrency $KRISHNAN is now live.” This raised immediate concerns among her followers, with many suspecting fraudulent activity.

‘Vidaamuyarchi’ continues to garner attention

On the professional front, Trisha was last seen in Vidaamuyarchi, a high-stakes action drama that follows a man’s desperate mission to rescue his abducted wife in Azerbaijan. Filming commenced in 2023 and wrapped up in 2024. Originally planned for a Pongal release, the film faced multiple delays before finally hitting theatres. While it received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, Trisha’s performance was widely appreciated.
