Vicky Kaushal joins hands with Raazi director Meghna Gulazar and URI producer RSVP Movies for Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw’s biography titled ‘Sam Bahadur.” The teaser was released on Friday by the makers, and the cast is said to promote the film at the India vs. Pakistan match on October 14.

Breaking down preview

The preview for the movie focuses on Sam’s devotion to his work and the Indian Army, as well as how he was willing to sacrifice everything for his nation but was uninterested in the politics that went along with it.

He says in the teaser, “Mujhe politics mein koi interest nahi hai,” demonstrating that participating in a war has political consequences. The movie will also depict the 1971 conflict, which he commanded from the front and which resulted in Bangladesh’s formation.

Towards the end of the teaser, when Fatima Sana Shaikh’s Indira Gandhi tells him that it is the duty of a soldier to sacrifice his life for his country, he corrects her and

says, “Soldiers ki duty hai desh ki raksha ke liye dushman ki jaan lena.”

This film showcases Vicky in a different avatar altogether, although a lot of the shots reminded us of URI, along with many shots that are recreated from the army man’s real-life images, which goes ahead to show the maker’s approach in recreating the life of the marshal with utmost sincerity from their end.
