Raveena Tandon, known for her elegance and eloquence, has been a prominent figure in Bollywood, impressing audiences with her acting prowess and philanthropic work. However, recent events took a downward turn for the actress when she found herself amidst a mob assault. Allegations arose accusing her of rash driving in the streets of Mumbai, with her driver also being blamed for assaulting three women. Providing clarity on the incident, Mumbai Police released their statement on the matter.

What's in viral video? 

On June 2, 2024, a video surfaced online showing Raveena Tandon being mobbed on the streets of Mumbai. The assailants lodged a complaint at the Khar police station, alleging Raveena of reckless driving, hitting an elderly woman and her driver, and assaulting three women. However, Mumbai Police, in conversation with Mid-Day, disclosed that no injuries were sustained during the incident, and Raveena was found sober. They clarified that Raveena was falsely accused.

CCTV footage emerges 

The inspector elaborated that Raveena emerged from her vehicle to assess the situation with her driver when the mob attacked her, hurling abuses. Despite her attempts to defuse the situation, the hostile crowd remained unyielding. In a viral video, Raveena appeared visibly distressed as she tried to shield herself from the aggressive mob's onslaught. Subsequently, CCTV footage of the incident emerged, revealing that Raveena's car did not collide with anyone, rendering the accusations baseless. Senior police officials confirmed that the complaints against the actress were unfounded. DCP Rajtilak Roshan of Zone 9 clarified that the complaint was false.

As tensions escalated, Raveena intervened to protect her driver from the mob's onslaught. Both Raveena and the affected family visited the Khar police station to file complaints but later withdrew them, expressing their unwillingness to pursue the matter further. The actress has also reacted on her social media handles.
