Rashmika Mandanna has provided an exciting update on one of next years most anticipated films, Pushpa: The Rule. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla during her visit to Tokyo for the CrunchyRoll Anime Awards, the Animal actress teased that the Pushpa sequel is going to be massive.Mandanna revealed, One thing I am going to promise is that its going to be massive. We are halfway through. We were just shooting a massive song sequence and when I will go back, I will be shooting another song.”She also hinted at a possible simultaneous release strategy, with Pushpa 2 potentially launching in Japan on the same day as its India debut. “We might release Pushpa 2 in Japan on the same day of the release. We are having those conversations,” Mandanna mentioned.Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 sees Allu Arjun reprising his role as the titular Pushpa Raj, while Mandanna returns as his wife Srivalli. Discussing her part, she said, “My role in Pushpa 2 is that now she has become the wife and with becoming the wife of Pushpa, there are still some responsibilities to carry. In Pushpa 2, there is a lot more drama and bigger conflicts that we are facing as characters. Its going to be a lot more masala in part 2.”With two big song-and-dance sequences already filmed and more in the works, Mandanna has fueled rising excitement for the next chapter in Pushpas story. Her comments signal that fans can expect an even grander production with higher emotional stakes when Pushpa: The Rule likely arrives in late 2023.
