Actress Radhika Apte recently shared a candid glimpse into her postpartum journey by posting a picture of herself breast pumping at the BAFTAs. Just two months after welcoming her baby, the actress attended the prestigious awards ceremony while juggling the challenges of motherhood and work. Taking to Instagram, Radhika posted a bathroom selfie where she was seen pumping breast milk in one hand while holding a glass of champagne in the other. Dressed in a stunning lavender outfit, she flashed a radiant smile, showcasing her ability to balance both her career and new motherhood.

Sharing the photo, Radhika wrote, “And now my BAFTAs reality (laughing emoji) #breastfeeding #postpartum #breastpump.” She expressed gratitude towards her friend Natasha, who played a crucial role in making the event possible for her. “I have to thank Natasha @tashtash07 for scheduling the itinerary around my breast pumping timings. She not only accompanied me to the washroom to express milk but also brought me champagne in the loo (laughing emoji, red heart emoji). It’s hard as is to be a new mum and work, this level of care and sensitivity is rare in our film industry and much appreciated.”

Radhika Apte’s film Sister Midnight nominated at BAFTAs

The actress attended the 78th BAFTA Awards as her film, Sister Midnight, received a nomination for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer. Directed by Karan Kandhari, the comedy-horror film features Radhika as a woman trapped in an unhappy arranged marriage. Earlier, Radhika had shared a series of pictures from the event, captioning them, “Sister Midnight at the BAFTAs. Big congratulations to @deathpunkbaby for the nomination. First big outing after birth… 2 months postpartum… 2 hours of sleep… I couldn’t have done it without the fabulous people in the team. THANK YOU.”

Radhika Apte’s journey into motherhood

In December 2024, Radhika announced the birth of her child with her husband, Benedict Taylor. She previously shared a touching picture of herself breastfeeding her newborn, marking her return to work after maternity leave. Radhika and Benedict, a musician, tied the knot in 2012 after meeting in London in 2011. The couple, who split their time between Mumbai and London, had a private wedding, followed by an official celebration in 2013.
