The investigation into the murder of 33-year-old, Renuka Swamy, is taking a new turn every day. Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been involved in a significant legal controversy over the murder of his fan. He was arrested on June 11, in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy. Allegedly, Darshan and other accused individuals assaulted Swamy in a shed in Pattanagere, leading to his death. The incident reportedly occurred after Swamy sent obscene messages to actress Pavithra Gowda, who is also implicated in the case as the primary accused, while Darshan is listed as the secondary accused. The body of the victim was discovered on June 8, and further details emerged that Darshan received updates on the situation via WhatsApp.Some chilling details have emerged during the interrogation that Darshan used his fan club member to execute the murder of Renuka Swamy. According to the reports, Renuka sent some abusive messages to Pavithra Gowda as he was upset over an extramarital affair with Darshan, which was tarnishing Darshans image.How murder was executedThe case took a dramatic turn when three people, Raghendra, Karthik, and Kesavamurthy confessed to the police that they had slain Renukaswamy and disposed of his body. They also revealed that they had been offered Rs 5 lakh to accept the blame and not to name Darshan in the case. Police reports claim that Darshan was provoked by Pavithra to take revenge on Renukaswamy for his offensive remarks. Sahana, Renukaswamys wife, claimed that Raghavendra allegedly kidnapped her husband from outside his home the night of the incident and brought him to a shed in Kamakshipalya.According to accounts, on June 8, the day of the murder, Darshan went to the shed in the evening. The hired guys attacked Renukaswamy before Darshan arrived at the scene. Investigation also tells that Darshan then belted Renukaswamy.Renukaswamy was beaten by the culprits once more after Darshan departed. According to additional reports, Pradosh, one of the offenders, notified Darshan of Renukaswamys passing after which he demanded Rs 30 lakh in cash to handle the matter.According to sources, Karthik and his group only consented to dispose of the body and surrender themselves to the police after receiving the money.Police have also recovered the rest of Rs 25 lakh that Pradosh kept at a secret place.Recovery of body and Arrest of accusedThe incident came to light when one of the delivery boys found that dogs eating a human body near a drain and alerted the police. After that, the two accused approached the police and confessed that they killed Renuka over a financial dispute. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that Darshan and his wife were involved in the murder and were in contact with the murders on WhatsApp for all the happening.Darshan along with his wife and other accused are now in police custody.
