And its surprisingly difficult, especially when you have someone as competitive as me and Pri. But whoever is the one to put it on first, that side of the family is the more dominant. So its really for the family members to feel pride and thats just a funny game. But its really heartwarming and a great way for the families to all connect.”The couples wedding festivities included a Western ceremony officiated by Jonas father, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding the next day. The Indian wedding consisted of several Hindu rituals, including haldi, mehendi, and a sangeet ceremony. The celebrations were marked by various receptions and a coming together of both their families.Reflecting on the dual ceremonies in an earlier interview with People, Jonas expressed surprise at “how similar the different religions are and the ceremonies themselves have a lot of heart.”“Its [wedding] done according to astrological charts and the auspicious time was 10 oclock at night and everyone had flown done from America. They were just so jet-legged. I could just see my husband glaring at his family cause they were nodding off,” Priyanka had said earlier about her wedding.Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas welcomed their first child, a daughter named Malti Marie, after their marriage. Malti was born on January 15, 2022, via surrogacy, but faced initial challenges, spending her early days in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Fortunately, she was able to come home in May, just in time for Mothers Day.In an Instagram post, Jonas shared his feelings about the journey of becoming parents and expressed gratitude for his daughters progress. “On this Mothers Day, we cant help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster weve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced… After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home,” he wrote.
