The Miss Universe crown for the year 2023 was claimed by Nicaraguas Sheynnis Palacios in a grand event that was held at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 19 (according to IST). Miss Universe 2022, USAs RBonney Gabriel crowned Sheynnis Palacios as Miss Universe 2023 amid loud cheers from the crowd. The top 3 finalists of the beauty pageant were from Thailand, Australia and Nicaragua. Australias Moraya Wilson was the second runner-up while Thailands Antonia Porsild was crowned first runner-up at the 72nd Miss Universe contest.
