Nawazuddin Siddiqui led Haddi, directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma crime drama is the new film of Siddiqui being streamed at Zee5. The movie is said to be violent and gore which depicts the life of transgender people in this socially structure world where illegal organisations still find a place. The casts include Nawazuddin Siddiqui as, Haddi, Anurag Kashyap as Pramod Ahlawat Resh Lamba as Malkan.

Other casts include Ivanka Das as Surri, Shriidhar Dubey as Chunna (as Shreedhar Dubey), Saharsh Kumar Shukla as Jogi, Ila Arun as Amma, Rahaao as Wasim and many others.

Nawazuddin’s character

Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the character of Haddi who is a transgender woman whose only aim is to avenge her family’s death. The character shows the actor’s brilliant acting as he becomes one with the character as if it was specifically tailored only for him.

He brings out vengeful femme fatale energy splendidly as he slips into feminine clothes against the backdrop of a story that is symbolic, allegorical, and unfeigned to the plight of the transgender community.

This movie drama by Akshat Ajay Sharma is not for the fainthearted people as it’s violent and gore that shows trigger-happy men on a killing spree. There is blood splashing everywhere and it gets gory with every action sequence.

Plot of Haddi

Haddi is a revenge drama set against the backdrop of modern ruins in the NCR. The movie delves into the life of Haddi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a grievously wronged transgender woman, who comes from Allahabad to Delhi, to join a gang of transgenders in pursuit of vengeance and climbs up to the top of the criminal food chain to avenge his family who was wronged by a mighty powerful gangster-turned-politician played by Anurag Kashyap.

This Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap starrer twisted revenge drama is reported to be fast-paced and portrays the sensitive subject that eclipses the systematic, intricate, and heinous framework of gender and sexual oppression.

Co-written by Sharma and Adamya Bhalla, the film is 134 minutes long and also stars Ila Arun as Revathy Amma and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Irfan who are the only backbones of Haddi’s life

According to media reports the movie isn’t the crackling zinger of a film that it had the potential to be but it still manages to grasp the attention of its audience and has proven to be not overly damaging.

The film, panning Out in the shadows, has a gallery of vulnerable and violent people who eke out a twisted, fragile living on the fringes of the city and survive on crumbs thrown to them by their pathologically secretive, self-serving bosses.
