After receiving several complaints from social media users, Mumbai police will take legal action against actor Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, who were recently seen riding bikes without helmets.

Reportedly, Amitabh Bachchan on Monday took a lift from one of the fans to reach the shoot location amid traffic jams, while Anushka Sharma was seen taking a ride with her bodyguard due to certain roadblocks. Notably, neither of them or their riders were wearing helmets.

Taking it to social media, Amitabh Bachchan also thanked the person who gave him a lift. He wrote, “Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to the location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner.”

Reacting to it, one of the social media users, took it to Twitter and tagged Mumbai Police and wrote, “Missing helmets for both rider and pillion. @MumbaiPolice please take note!”

Similarly, actor Anushka Sharma was also trolled on social media for not wearing a helmet. Users tagged the Mumbai Police on social media for the same. Responding to the tweet, Mumbai Police wrote that they have shared the complaint with the traffic department.

Noteworthy, that actor Amitabh Bachchan was recently worked in ‘Uunchai’ after recouping from his injury sustained at the shoot location for his forthcoming film Project K. Reportedly, the movie is scheduled to release in January 2024. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani will also be starring in the movie.

On the other hand, actor Anushka Sharma is all set to make her come back with Chakda Xpress. This will be her first project after the birth of her daughter.

Similar incidents with other Bollywood celebrities

Other actors from Bollywood were also in the headlines for violating traffic rules. Recently, Kartik Aryan received a challan for parking his Lamborghini Urus car outside the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, before the release of his film ‘Shehzada’. Although the amount was not revealed by the actor.

Kartik Aryan is not the only one, in 2017, Varun Dhawan was also seen leaning out of his vehicle to oblige a fan’s request for a selfie. Due to this, an e-challan was issued to the actor. After the incident, Varun Dhawan apologised for the same.
