The trailer for Akshay Kumar‘s upcoming thriller is here. Titled ‘Mission Raniganj‘, the film narrates a man’s mission to save the lives of helpless miners stranded in a coal mine. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra as Akshay’s wife.
The trailer begins with a horrifying accident in which a mine collapses on top of a large group of miners working underground. They are screaming and pleading for their lives to be saved, while Akshay Kumar on the ground is ready to launch rescue operations. In the film, he plays a Sikh engineer who does whatever it takes to save the lives of men.
‘Mission Raniganj’ is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackie Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor. Akshay had earlier worked with director Tinu Suresh Desai in the crime thriller ‘Rustom’.
Mission Raniganj is based on the true story of late mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who led the heroic coal mine rescue mission and helped the miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989.
This film features Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, and Ananth Mahadevan in crucial roles. The film has been directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and will be released on October 6, 2023.
