‘Animal’ Teaser: Watch Ranbir’s new baddie avatar, intense and spine-chilling actions

On Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday, the actor’s fans received a special gift as the teaser of his upcoming film Animal dropped online. Fans and movie critics had a lot of expectations from the actor in this movie and the teaser seems to show the ‘Wake Up Sid’ actor’s acting talents in a new light.

The teaser gives a glimpse of the movie’s main storyline which seems to revolve around a father-son relationship. Here, Anil Kapoor plays the role of Ranbir’s father while Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna also play key roles in the movie.

‘Animal’ director makes announcement

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to X(Twitter) to announce the release of the teaser and wrote “Check it out guys :-)” with the link to the teaser attached below.

The two-minute, 26-second clip is a thrilling one with glimpses of powerful performances from the actors with high-octane stunts, amazing dialogues, and spectacular acting by Ranbir Kapoor.

Details of ‘Animal’

The movie is said to revolve around a father-son relationship which is set in the backdrop of a bloodied and gory underworld that leads to the protagonist becoming a psychopath. The trailer also shows a complicated relationship between Ranbir and Anil Kapoor with the latter acting as an aggressive father while the former defends him by calling him the ‘best father’.

Here, Rashmika Mandanna is also seen playing the role of Ranbir’s wife Geetanjali. Apart from this, the film is also said to star Tripti Dimri in a key role.

Casting of ‘Animal’

Initially, when the movie was announced for the first time by T-Series on January 1, 2021, the cast included actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Parineeti Chopra.

However, Parineeti later rejected the role in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Chamkili’ which is the newly married Parineeti Chopra’s upcoming film.

Later, Rashmika Mandanna was finally selected for the role of Ranbir’s wife in the film in March 2022.

The movie is set to release on December 1, 2023, after being postponed from August 11, 2023, due to pending post-production work. This movie will also be Ranbir Kapoor’s second film of the year after the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which also starred Shraddha Kapoor.
