Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ has taken over the pop culture conversations around the world, and now it has entered Indian politics too… sort of. An artist has taken inspiration from the film’s pink-hued world and used artificial intelligence models to imagine Indian political figures as Kens and Barbies.

The images have been shared by an Instagram page ‘Who Wore What’, and the post has garnered more than 500 likes since it was shared. The post was titled, “Who is your favourite amongst these? Barbie here, Barbie there! Barbie everywhere.”

Mamata in car, Lalu with his cows: Indian politicians in ‘Barbie’ world

Ten of the most prominent politicians in the country were featured – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Home Minister Amit Shah, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The images have the distinct pinkish hue associated with Barbie, with the politicians decked up in pink suits and dresses with on-point hairstyles and glamorous accessories. While PM Modi is flanked by pink-dressed supporters, Lalu Prasad Yadav seems to have an army of pinkish cows behind him.

Mamata Banerjee, Gadkari, and Rahul Gandhi all feature with a pink car, while Kejriwal dons the pose of an old-time Bollywood hero with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

Who Wore What had previously shared a similar post, where they imaged Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, and others as Kens.
