Academy Award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh tied the knot with her fiance, ex-Ferrari CEO Jean Todt, after a 19-year engagement, social media reports confirmed.

Malaysian actress Yeoh, who became the first Asian woman to win an Oscar in March for her role in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, said ‘I do’ in a small ceremony on Thursday in Geneva, Switzerland, which was attended by the couple’s closest friends and family members.

Yeoh, 66, and Todt, 77, first met in Shanghai in 2004, as per the wedding card images shared on Instagram by Todt’s close friend, Brazilian F1 racer Felipe Massa.

The card read, “On June 4, 2004, we met in Shanghai. On July 26, 2004, J.T [Todt] proposed to M.Y [Yeoh] and she said YES.

“Today, on the 27th of July 2023, after 6992 days, in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together.”

Michelle Yeoh and fiance Todt both dressed up for the long-awaited occasion, with Yeoh donning a beige-town gown with a corset bodice and gold embellishments and a bridal white skirt with a white silk button-up shirt, while Todt wore a blue suit.

There was a third member in the photographs too – Michelle Yeoh’s Academy Award.

Jean Todt himself confirmed the wedding, writing on Twitter, “Now that my other son @MassaFelipe19 has « discreetly » spread the good news, I can happily confirm the union with the Love of my life, Michelle.”
