Marvel Studios has treated fans with the official trailer of the highly anticipated sci-fi action series, ‘Loki Season 2’. The production house shared the exciting trailer on their social media pages on Monday, announcing that the original series will begin streaming on Disney+Hotstar on October 6.
In the upcoming season, actor Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the mischievous God of Mischief and faces thrilling challenges. The trailer captures Loki being pulled through time, stuck between the past and the present, and confronting the looming threat of utter destruction. Hiddleston’s powerful line, “If what I saw is true, there’s nothing that stands between this world and utter destruction,” adds to the excitement.
Picking up after the Season 1 finale, where Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) disrupts everything by stabbing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), Loki finds himself in a wild alternate timeline. Together with Morbius, played by Owen Wilson, they seek assistance from O.B., portrayed by Ke Huy Quan, in navigating the chaos of the Time Variance Authority, but their efforts seem to be futile, as reported by Deadline, a US-based media outlet.
The release of the trailer sparked an immediate frenzy among fans, flooding the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. One excited fan expressed, “AFTER MULTIPLE HORRIBLE PROJECTS – THE MCU IS BACK!!!” while another eagerly commented, “I’m so hyped!! Marvel’s best series looks like it will return just as good as the first season.”
Apart from Tom Hiddleston, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, and Neil Ellice.
