NTR30 (yet untitled) officially launched on Thursday with a pooja ceremony. After the grand celebrations of the Oscar winner RRR (for the best original song category) of Jr. NTR, the actor is back on shooting schedules for his reunion with director Koratala Shiva. This would be Jr NTR’s second project with Koratala Siva after Janatha Garage for NTR 30. The film will also feature Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, this is also the actor’s Telugu debut film.
RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli gave the first clap for the film. Among those who attended the grand opening were KGF filmmaker Prashanth Neel and actor Prakash Raj.
Social media has been flooded with images and videos from the launch ceremony. Jr. NTR can be seen shaking hands with Janhvi in one of the videos welcoming her to the launch. In another video, both Jr NTR and Janhvi can be seen on stage with Rajamouli as he claps the first shot and declares the start of the shoot.
Though not much about the film is revealed by the cast or crew of the film, director Koratala Shiva said in the ceremony, “The story is set in a forgotten coastal region of India. It’s an emotional story about how we live in a world where there are more monsters than humankind.”
Apart from the starry cast, one of the main highlights of the high-budget film produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts will be the music of Anirudh Ravichander. The crew also includes some big names, R. Rathnavelu as the director of photography, Sabu Cyril who has done art works for Baahubali as art director and Sreekar Prasad for editing the film. The film is expected to be released worldwide on April 5, 2024.
Aside from all this though, Jr NTR recently surprised everyone when he announced his retirement from acting. As fans and the media repeatedly asked him about his upcoming films, he joked that he would quit acting. And this become a viral news on social media.
