Entertainment News: On December 2, 2024, renowned comedian and actor Sunil Pal made headlines when he claimed to have been kidnapped in Delhi. He alleged that after enduring a terrifying ordeal, he managed to escape by paying a ransom of ₹8 lakh to his captors. However, the narrative took a dramatic twist when an audio clip surfaced on social media, raising questions about the authenticity of his claims. The clip reportedly features Pal discussing the kidnapping with one of the alleged kidnappers, leading many to speculate that he may have staged the entire incident for publicity.
In the controversial audio recording, a voice identified as Lavi Pal, one of the alleged kidnappers, is heard expressing frustration over Sunil's actions. 'Now you are not doing the right thing. We did whatever you asked us to do, and now you've filed an FIR against us,' he says in Hindi. To this, a voice purportedly belonging to Sunil responds defensively, claiming no wrongdoing: 'I did not do anything. If the media were after me, I would have said something. I did not complain.' This exchange has led to rampant speculation about whether Sunil's kidnapping was indeed real or merely a fabricated story designed to attract media attention.
In light of the audio clip, Sarita, Sunil's wife, stepped forward to defend her husband. She insisted that only a portion of the full audio was released and labeled it as 'edited.' Sarita stated that Sunil was initially intimidated during the call, suggesting that the complete context would only be revealed once the actual culprits are apprehended. Currently, she is managing the case as Sunil remains at home feeling unwell.
Sarita's visit to Lal Kurti Police Station in Meerut with three lawyers marked a significant development in the case. She revealed that the kidnapping complaint initially filed in Mumbai has now been transferred to Meerut for further investigation.
Adding another layer to this unfolding drama, CCTV footage emerged showing two men allegedly involved in Sunil's kidnapping purchasing jewelry with ransom money in Meerut. Reports indicate that they initially demanded ₹20 lakh, but after negotiations, they settled for ₹8 lakh, which they used for extravagant purchases at local jewelry stores. The police have since arrested two suspects connected to this shocking crime.
According to Sunil Pal’s account, he was lured under false pretenses to perform at an event in Haridwar. Upon arriving at Delhi airport, he was picked up by individuals posing as fans who then forcibly abducted him during a stop at a roadside eatery. He described being blindfolded and held captive for two days before managing to negotiate his release.
In his statement to authorities, Sunil recounted how he was coerced into contacting his wife for funds while being threatened with violence if he did not comply. He eventually returned home on December 4 after being dropped off in Meerut with ₹20,000 given by his captors for his journey back.
As investigations continue into this bizarre case, both police and public scrutiny intensify around Sunil Pal’s claims and the legitimacy of the audio evidence. While some believe he is a victim of a horrific crime, others suspect a calculated ploy for fame. The truth behind this chilling incident remains elusive as authorities work diligently to unravel this complex web of deception and fear surrounding Sunil Pal’s alleged kidnapping.
