After the astounding success of the Keanu Reeves-starrer John Wick: Chapter 4, Lionsgate Films have confirmed that the fifth chapter of the popular franchise is on the line. As per the information, the fourth part was the highest-grosser in the John Wick franchise.The fifth installment of the series is in the early stages of development, Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake stated during Lionsgates Q4 2023 conference call. “We are now expanding the brand, looking at regular cadence spin-offs and television truly building that universe, not just in the AAA video game market, so that there is now a consistent rhythm of a franchise that there is a definite desire for the audience. It is confirmed that Ballerina will be the first spin-off to be released in 2019.
