Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ release date is out! What’s the D-Day?

This year is indeed a blast for the film industry as after starring in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, Vijay Sethupathi is all set to work with none other than Katrina Kaif. Yes! It’s happening. The ‘Merry Christmas’ film is bilingual (Hindi and Tamil) and now its release date is out. Sriram Raghavan’s directorial film has been shot in two languages with Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, Today, the makes and casts dropped new posters of the upcoming film announcing the release date. The thriller film will be in theatres on December 15.

While sharing a fresh poster featuring herself and Vijay, actor Katrina Kaif took it to her Instagram and wrote, “We decided to cut short the wait for the Christmas cheer! Merry Christmas stars Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif for the first time in a Tamil film. Releasing in cinemas near you on 15th December 2023…”

In the poster, both actors from Merry Christmas were seen together for the first time. Also, a text in Hindi was seen near a taxi on the poster, which read, “Raat jitni sangeen hogi, subah utni rangeen hogi (The more serious the night, the more colourful will be the morning).” 

That’s not it, a dark theme is set for the poster to emphasise the thriller genre of the film, in which on the streets carrying a soft toy on his back at some hotspots such as cinema halls and bakeries featured depicting nighttime scenes in a city.

Meanwhile, actor Vijay Sethupathi shared the same poster in its Tamil version on his Instagram. The post read, “Merry Christmas stars Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif for the first time in a Tamil film. Releasing in cinemas near you on 5th December 2023…” 

About Merry Christmas

This upcoming thriller is directed by Sriram Raghavan. It is the first time Katrina will be working with Vijay Sethupathi. Apart from them, Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, will be seen in the Hindi version, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams.
