Katrina Kaif-Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ release date changed again!

Hey Folk! Are you waiting to see actor Katrina Kaif and Jawan’s villain Vijay Sethupathi together? Yes right? But, let us tell you that the release date of the film – ‘Merry Christmas’ has again changed. This is the third time that the film’s release date has been rescheduled. Earlier, it was on December 23, then it was pre-poned to December 15. It’s the same day when Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ will hit the theatres. Now, today, on October 03, it was announced that the release date of ‘Merry Christmas’ has been yet again. It will hit theatres a week early.

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starring ‘Merry Christmas’ has now got a new release date i.e. December 08. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared this announcement on X (formerly known as X), saying, “KATRINA KAIF – VIJAY SETHUPATHI: ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ TO ARRIVE ONE WEEK EARLY. 8 Dec 2023 is the new release date of #MerryChristmas, which teams #KatrinaKaif and #VijaySethupathi for the first time. #MerryChristmas – directed by #SriramRaghavan – is shot in two languages [#Hindi and #Tamil] with different supporting actors.”

About Merry Christmas

For those who are unaware, this is the first time that Katrina and Vijay will share screens. Famous director Sriram Raghavan, who helmed films like ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Badlapur’, is directing this anticipated film. Moreover, the film has been shot in two different languages, with different supporting actors. It also marks Katrina Kaif and Sriram Raghavan’s first Tamil outing.

The Hindi version co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. The film also introduces Pari, a child actor. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will be seen in exciting cameos.

Merry Christmas has been backed by Ramesh Turani and Jaya Turani; Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg, and is a collaboration that combines the vision and expertise of two esteemed production houses, Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures.
