Veteran Tamil actor Raghav Balaiah AKA Junior Balaiah passed away at the age of 70 in the wee hours of Thursday (November 02). He died due to suffocation at his Chennai residence in Valasaravakkam. According to the reports, his funeral is said to be held today evening.

Soon after Balaiah’s demise news broke, and his fans took to his social media to fondly remember Balaiah through his films.

Reportedly, he died due to breathing difficulties and suffocation, Balaiah died on Thursday morning at his residence in Chennai.

For those who are unaware, Raghu Balaiah is the son of late veteran actor TS Balaiah. Fondly called Junior Balaiah, he made his debut in 1975 with 'Melnaattu Marumagal'. His famous films include 'Karagattkaran', 'Sundara Kandam', 'Winner' and 'Saattai'.

Apart from movies, he was also seen in television shows, including 'Chithi', 'Vazhkai' and 'Chinna Papa Periya Papa'. In 2019, he was seen in an important role in Ajith Kumar's 'Nerkonda Paarvai', which is the official Tamil remake of 'Pink'. His last film was 'Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam', which was released in 2021.
