It is a tradition that Todd Phillips has followed second year in a row, as last year on the same date he dropped the first look at Lady Gaga. The new set of pictures—a total of three—features Phoenix and Gaga sharing moments of romance from Joker 2.
Joker: Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips dropped new stills of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga from the movie on Valentine's Day. He gave a sneak peek at the highly anticipated sequel, much to the delight of fans.
Todd shared photos with the caption, "Hoping your day is full of love". Joaquin returns as the titular Joker, while Lady Gaga plays Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn. In one of the photos, Gaga can be seen gazing into Joaquin's eyes lovingly as he returns a barely-there smile.
Joker: Folie à Deux, which is slated for release on October 4, is a sequel to the highly successful 'Joker,' which made over $1 billion in revenue globally when it was first released in 2019. Phoenix won an Oscar for playing the title role in the original 'Joker', following his remarkable performance that won him praise from critics.
