After 4 years of marriage, singer Joe Jonas has filed for divorce from the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Sophie Turner in Miami-Dade County court on Tuesday. The petition states the marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’ as grounds for dissolution.
As per the reports, Joe Jonas has completed all the documentation formalities required for the process.

As per the documents, ‘the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken’, as cited by media reports. The reports also suggest that a difference in lifestyles was also the reason for the split. It is said that Sophie is more an outgoing person, unlike Joe Jonas.
The dissolution of marriage document also states that both Joe and Sophie will have custody of their two daughters.
A source close to the couple has stated that divorce was the last option for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take the decision as he felt that it was the best for his daughters.
The source further said, “an unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”
Meanwhile, the duo has not yet announced anything on their split officially.

Jonas and Turner first met in 2016. They were engaged the following year and got married in 2019. The couple legally got hitched in Las Vegas in May 2019, a month before having a full ceremony with friends and family at Chateau de Tourreau in the south of France.
Jonas and Turner are parents of two daughters.
