Jennifer Mistry, who essayed the famous character of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for the past 15 years, has left the role. She joined other notable cast members who had already left the programme, including Shailesh Lodha, Disha Vakani, and Gurucharan Singh. But after accusing Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment, Jennifer left the programme. Jennifer Mistry has reportedly made a complaint of workplace sexual harassment against Asit, Project Head Sohail Ramani, and Executive Producer Jatin Bajaj.Earlier also, Asit Modi, the producer of the show had faced the trouble. Reportedly, Shailesh Lodha who plays the role of Mr Mehta in the show, had filed a case against the Asit Modi for the non-payment of dues, and now a new complaint has been filed against the producers. According to reports Jennifer stopped doing shooting for the upcoming episodes and had her last shot on March 7.As per sources, when Jennifer was asked about the reason, she committed that she has left the show and did her last episode on March 6, this year. She also said that she was subjected to humiliation and insulted by the producers. She also shared the incident that happened on Holi, when she asked for a half day but was denied by the producers on the set. I told them that they cannot forcefully stop me and while I was leaving Sohail threatened me,” she added.Jennifer has filed a case of sexual harassment against Asit Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj.She also revealed, on April 8, she replied to them through social media that she was subjected to sexual harassment, on which they reverted that she was trying to extort the money. She further added, “I mailed and sent a register to all the government officials on April 8th, along with notices to Asit Modi, Sohil Ramani, and Jatin Bajaj. I have not heard back on the topic, but I am confident that they are looking into the matter.”Additionally, Jennifer Mistry asserted that every person working with them is engaged in bonded labour on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. I have dedicated my 15 years to the show, so just imagine what they must be doing to the newcomers or junior artists, she continued.
