Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is out now, and it’s putting fans in a frenzy. The Atlee-directed action drama sends single screens on a hype trail as clips from the theater on the ‘first-day first show’ surface on social media. The fans seem to be in awe of SRK’s mass avatar as he appears in this mass fiesta generated by director Atlee. Critics have dived into the world of ‘Jawan’ as they took to the internet to review the film and have dropped positive reviews similar to the fans.

Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Setupathi, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, and others. The film features SRK in a father-son double role, which is reminiscent of previous Atlee films like ‘Bigil’ and ‘Mersal’. Vijay Sethupathi plays the menacing antagonist, who is said to be the fourth-largest weapon dealer in the world, in the film. Nayanthara plays the love interest, and Deepika Padukone’s extended cameo sparks up the all-star film.
Prior to the screening of the first show, fans were seen in clips showering SRK’s cutouts with milk outside theaters, more like worshiping their idol. More videos of fans dancing to the tunes of the film’s tracks made the craze for Jawan more evident. Earlier, more such videos showing fans booking entire theaters for the film came to light, which goes ahead to show the stronghold Bollywood’s Badshah still has on mass audiences. While single screens shower love on SRK, multiplex chains throughout can be seen with fast-filling seats for housefull shows for the day.

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu took to his X account to share his wishes for the success of Jawan, followed by Tamil directors Lokesh Kanagaraj and Venkat Prabhu, who extended their support and wishes to Atlee and the film. Jawan star Sanya Malhotra was spotted today in the popular G7 Galaxy theater in Mumbai amid rain as she watched the first-day show of the film. Actress Radhika Madan was also seen at the film’s screening.

Most of the reviews stated the film’s mass appeal, the charisma Shah Rukh Khan brings on screen, or the cinematography and color grading as being beautiful. Some other not-so-happy fans shared their response on how, for them, the film felt like a routine, average flick that they felt was overhyped.

Some fans mentioned the action of the film, which awed them, as the 57-year-old actor does it seemingly well for his age. While some are praising the star’s portrayal of the father character and the swag SRK brings on-screen with him. Many fans also raved about the thumping background music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who poured in the southern flavor to the Pan-Indian venture.
While the speculated box office collections assure the film to open huge in the markets both India and internationally on day one, The official figures will soon be reported.
Atlee, the ‘Bigil’, ‘Theri’, and ‘Mersal’ famed Tamil director, is at the helm of the project along with authoring it.
