It seems no end for Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt’s starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi won in three technical categories during the IIFA Awards and Weekend 2023 opening ceremony in Abu Dhabi. The IIFA Rocks ceremony, which featured the announcement of the honours for technical categories like cinematography, writing, dialogue, and editing, was hosted by actor Rajkummar Rao and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan.

The best script award went to Utkarshini Vashishtha and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for their work on the critically acclaimed historical drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. Additionally, it received awards for best writing and cinematography too.

On the other hand, Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves took home the best choreography award for their work on the title track of Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Whereas, Anees Bazmee’s directorial was a second win in the best sound design.

Best editing went to Ajay Devgn’s murder thriller Drishyam 2, while best special effects (visual) went to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s action-adventure Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
