Ranbir Kapoor's blockbuster film, 'Animal,' is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix on January 26, 2024. The action-packed drama initally hit theatres on December1, 2023, collecting a staggering Rs 550 crore net in India and a whopping Rs 900 crore globally. However, there were reports that the film would be releasing on Netflix with extended runtime. Let's delve into the details to separate fact from fiction. 

Extended runtime controversy

While there were reports that the film would have additional scenes included in the OTT released version. However, a source close to the film have denied the reports. The source revealed, "There are no additional scenes added in the film; the duration of the film remains the same as the theatrical release, which is 3 hours, 23 minutes, and 29 seconds."

Legal problems faced by Animal

The Delhi High Court had summoned Netflix India, as Cine 1 Studios, who is the co-producer on the film, had sought to halt the release of Animal on digital and satellite platforms. However, the source cleared the news and said, 'The case is settled, and there are no issues now; the film will release on the given date on Netflix.'
