Jaya, had a glance at Big B at Pune Film Institute where he was paying a visit alongwith filmmaker K. Abbas and some other actors. Director Hrishikesh Mukherjee brought them together in Guddi and both were thrilled to be with each other on screen. Then, they both fell in love while working in Ek Nazar. Amitabh Bachchan proposed Jaya Bhaduri for marriage and they got married in 1973.
