Gold smuggling claims: Actor Ranya Rao allegedly earned Rs12 lakh on each Dubai trip

The media has reported that Ranya Rao visited Dubai thirty times during the previous twelve months. The woman brought kilos of gold during each of her thirty visits to Dubai.

Police detained Kannada actress Ranya Rao on Wednesday at the Kempegowda International Airport of Bengaluru regarding her suspected involvement in gold smuggling from Dubai. Autonomous customs officials confiscated 15 kilograms of gold worth 12.56 crores Rupees from her possession. The ongoing investigation of the case generates new distressing information for investigators and the public.

The stepdaughter of Karnataka IPS officer Ramachandra Rao traveled between Dubai and India thirty times during the last year. She allegedly imported kilos of gold during every one of her visiting days. The sources interviewed by India Today reported that Rao received Rs1 lakh in payment for smuggling each kilogram of gold which yielded her approximately Rs12-13 lakh from each journey.The actress applied customized jackets with waist belts to perform her smuggling activities multiple times. The actress utilized both jackets and belts repeatedly for her smuggling activities while traveling. During her arrest by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) she concealed the gold bars inside her jacket which she had modified for smuggling purposes.

The arrest noted what words the actress Ranya Rao spoke to DRI officials during her stoppage The authorities maintained constant surveillance on Ranya Rao because she frequently traveled to Dubai. The DRI officials stopped Ranya with their interception on Wednesday when she approached security to depart. Rao identified herself as the daughter of IPS officer Ramachandra Rao who maintained his position as DGP (Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation). Prior intelligence caused the police to search her and discover the hidden gold. The total amount confiscated in the case amounted to Rs. 17.29 crore with additional assets valuing at Rs. 4.73 crore.
