But in Season 2, the main enemy of his family, Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), kills him in an attempt to take control.

Satyanand (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) learns about his daughter-in-law Beena's (Rasika Dugal) adulterous romance with Raja, a household staffer, and her discontentment with Kaleen Bhaiya. He has sex with her and gets her pregnant as a kind of punishment. Following a fight, Munna was defeated by Ramakant's sons, Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey). When Kaleen Bhaiya notices that the Pandit brothers are not going to submit to his son, he gives them a job. Munna becomes irritated by this and swears to take Mirzapur from his father. When Munna and Guddu discover they have a mutual affection for Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar), their rivalry intensifies. After a dispute, Kaleen Bhaiya feels frightened by Guddu's bold behavior, which leads him to give Munna the order to assassinate Guddu Pandit.

Munna arrives for a wedding that Bablu, Sweety, Sweety's sister Golu (Shweta Tripathi), and Guddu are all attending. By now, Guddu and Sweety are married, and Sweety is expecting his first child.
