The actress, best known for her role in the hit Netflix action series Bloodhounds, was found dead in her Seoul apartment. In the wake of her tragic passing, a close friend of Kim shared insights into the actress’s life in the months leading up to her death. According to OSEN, the friend revealed that Kim had recently undergone a personal change, including altering her name to Kim Ah Im. The friend also shared that Kim was preparing for a comeback in the entertainment industry. “The last time I saw Kim Sae Ron was at the end of last year. She was preparing to return with the movie Guitar Man, and we talked about how she would start acting again and finally make money… I never imagined this would happen,” the friend stated.
Kim was also making plans beyond her acting career, with aspirations of opening a café. “She was preparing to open a café and was also planning her return to the entertainment industry. I still can’t believe it. The reason she wanted to open a café was because she had been working at one while filming, but managing both schedules was too difficult, so she eventually quit,” her friend explained.
Kim’s body was discovered by a friend who went to visit her at her Seongdong-gu residence in Seoul. The friend called the authorities around 4:50-5:00 PM. While police have ruled out foul play, the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, and investigations continue. Kim had recently wrapped up filming for Guitar Man and was reportedly planning to make her acting comeback shortly. She had been optimistic about both her career and her ventures, leaving those closest to her in disbelief over her tragic passing.
